In cold weather, have you found that hollow points show any signs of feeding issues while shooting?

I live in SoCal...What's cold weather????
Some firearms have a difficult time feeding hollow points, my Step-Dad's PPK 380 was like that. He had to have work done on his PPK in order for it to feed properly. Some 1911s have that problem, but I haven't seen it. I mostly reload 230 grain round nose bullets though.
My Step-Dad had the problem in SoCal, Southeast L.A. to be specific. I thought it was warm that night, although I was the person being robbed...
I have heard that if you polish the feed ramps and/or smooth the slide, it will help prevent the problem. Whatever, make sure you can reliably feed your pistol at the range, so that you know everything works. Polishing the feed ramps on AR firearms has been an issue in the past. The feed ramps are located on the breach end of the barrel. That is true of the 1911, as well.

Are you saying polishing AR feed ramps creates issues?!?
No, the opposite. In some cases using a small file on the ramps to open them up, and polishing them to smooth the surface, will help as the tip of the bullet feeds into the ramp.
300 blackout, as an example, can shoot a 210-220 grain bullet subsonic. But the nose can get caught on the ramp, that's a pretty big bullet, especially for a 300 blackout case. There's a ramp on each side, and the bullets feed from side to side.
By making the transition as smooth as possible can help. As I understood that was exactly what Mike Bennett did to my Step-Dad's PPK 380 to fix it. I was just pointing out that the same problem occurs if semi-auto ARs, as it does handguns.
