What would be your gun of choice?

For versatility, shotgun hands down. Slugs will down Big, 00 will take out a villain, #8 shot will put the tastiest quail on the table.
I've been on several guided tours in Alaska, the guides that live there are scared spitless of moose. They carry shotguns.

Unless I'm hunting a barn door, I'm not shooting anything at 400 yards.

I have a rifle barrel shotgun. Good to 125 with my 2x scope. Will hunt any big game with it. Needing to be farther out goes against my skill set and mind set.

I have shot flyers for dog training. One day I was really on target. When I got home and cleaned, I realized I had the rifled choke in that gun. I swear I was more accurate that day because of that.

Well, I'm not advocating it, but want to stretch out to about 600 yards and thinking coyotes are the ticket, just in case one gets wounded.

I like old dilapidated barns. The more dilapidated the better.
