What do you think about creating a map?

I've often pondered about having a game map, one that would show what game are in specific regions of California. An example would be the hills east of Mono Lake where Bighorn Sheep live, or in the north part of the state where we have Elk on the bottom of the Cascades, or Mules east of I-5, Bears in the Sierras, Pigs in Monterey, SLO, etc...

I'm not sure what software could be used for such a map, that could be edited easily as we update it?

Anyone have any ideas on how to accomplish this?

You would have to have reporting to compile it .

Simple example Elk. San Louis Reservoir, Livermore, Willits, Laytonville , Elk campground, Orick, Elk Meadow, Crescent City, Fort Dick. That’s where I see them in my travels. Then you would have to do subspecies Tule or Rosevelt.

And if you don’t think there are any in Livermore, this is Calavaras Rd in Sunol all on SF watershed property.

I know you said you were local to here at one time.
