I’m using a Gen 3 Glock 19, and I have a couple of featureless ARs, a Mossberg 590, and some handguns from the roster. I usually go to the Ventura County Sportsman's Club to shoot, but I also like to drive up to Los Padres National Forest for some outdoor shooting when it’s permitted.

Welcome! Being a gun owner here isn’t always a walk in the park. But that’s where this community comes in to make things a bit easier. We’re here to back each other up, tackle compliance questions, and talk about all things firearms so don't be shy.

Welcome to CSF.

I know that area of Ventura, and kind of grew up surfing C Street, and have sailed out of Mandalay Bay. I always dreamed of living there, the Santa Barbara Channel is such a great place. Isn't that Sportsman's Club by Main Street?

There used to be a permit, one could get, to camp on Santa Rosa Island. They did have feral pig there, but have since eradicated them off the island I've heard. I have sailed from Ventura Harbor to Santa Barbara a number of times, and have stayed over in the Harbor. They also hold a Jazz festival down by the pier. I remember a place called Longboards that was on the pier, they used to sell a drink called The Wipeout, it was in a huge mug they sold for about $20 and you could reuse it. It was a stiff one, I'd be crawling back to the harbor...LOL I sailed out of Oxnard some, which is off Victoria, but Ventura is much nicer, IMO. There's a Brofy Bros in Ventura nowadays. Did you grow up in that area?

Welcome fellow VC resident. Shot in Los Padres MANY years ago off the 33. Thought all that was totally shut down many years ago. Spend my time shooting at CTA in Piru now.
Sounds like you have a nice little collection. Hang onto that G19. Glocks are virtually unobtainiium in CA already.
