I've been getting more serious about precision shooting and I've realized that factory ammo only goes so far. The more I learn, the more it seems like custom handloads are where the real excitement is. I thought I’d ask how many of you are already on that path.

Well down that path with a ton of money invested. I reload about 15 different cartridges, all but .22. Reloading .22lr is a pain and not worth the time

For mass production, Dillion all the way! And for fast case prep Dillion.

Precision single stage, Rock chucker or Area 419.

🙋‍♂️

I started to shoot 10/22 and need to use factory ammo for that, but that's the only ammo I typically use. I have a couple other to use as backups, but I won't shoot anything I can't reload.🤷‍♂️

I offered to help discuss reloading, for those that don't reload now. Having a decent amount of components to reload make it reassuring. I like to keep several hundred components for each caliber, so if there is a shortage, hopefully it won't effect me.

I’ve always been a reloader and lead bullet caster. Handloading is not something I’ve spent a lot of time trying. I started with an old Pacific single stage press and moved to a Dillon in the middle 70s.
