I was checking earlier and saw the current harvested bear count, as of 12/22/2025 is 942.

I don't think this will be a problem for me, should I find a bear, but the CDFW closes bear season early if 1700 harvested bears is reached.
I'm feeling pretty good about the weather, it's supposed to dry up a tad on the weekend. I'm gonna try to head down to Morgan Hill to get my flatbed started, hopefully, on Monday or Tuesday. I'm sure my yard is a mess. We'll see next week, but before I leave, time is running out on bear season, it's only good until Sunday evening. Down to the wire...
Sure is raining hard outside...if the weather breaks, it could be good hunting conditions.
