For those of you in the know, being a gun enthusiast in the Bay State is basically a full-time job when it comes to legal research. I’ve dedicated way too much time to studying the "Handgun Roster" and figuring out how to create a "featureless" rifle that doesn’t look like it belongs in a lab. If you’ve got any advice on tackling the latest CCW permit processes in our tougher counties, I’d be all ears!

Welcome Donski4.
As a fellow freedom fighter in a communist state, I feel your pain.
Here in CA, it depends on the county your in. My county was painless and efficient. About a 3 month process, intial application and fingerprinting(LiveScan), then a phone interview. Once approved, an 8hr class and live fire qualification. Then every 2yrs renewal application, class and qualification. Of course there is a fee, $150 + CC fee. Class was $250. Into my 5th year of carrying.
As far as rifles go, there a lot of non AR/AK style rifles to have fun with and also be hunting/defense compatible that won't make your neighbors hair light on fire!
