What shooting gloves do y'all recommend? I’m after something lightweight and not too tactical. Just need them for the range. Any recos?

I've tried lots of them, but I haven't found any yet that doesn't affect grip and target sighting.

What is the purpose of shooting gloves?
Finger prints?
Making that 50 BML softer?

What's the purpose?
For me, its for those really hot days at the range when when my hands get too sweaty, or on the cold days for just a little layer of warmth. Although my hands get cold at home indoors in the late fall, winter, and early spring(no body fat).

Finger Prints?
I dont have any. Got them burned off in my black ops days. Didn't everyone?

Nothing I'm aware of makes any 50 BMG soft.

In my twilight years, I've been thinking of the effects of lead. With two solid nur ones firing, losing more would be bad.
I load and shoot lead. At 77, is it too late to start a safety program? I prep with plastic gloves. I have seen people shoot with plastic gloves. Like most, I've seen a lot of things, some not so smart. I'm talking about nitrate gloves, not the ones I use to wash dishes and keep my hands soft and supple.

Have you tested for lead? I recently got tested, not by my primary care doctor, but just went to Quest and had it done privately. Cost was $58, pretty cheap considering. Since I recently got my RSO and Pistol Instructors Certs, I am imagining that I will be getting more exposure and wanted a baseline level so I could keep track if I started leading up.

I understand there are many protocols for getting heavy metals out of your blood.

Back in High School I was a Linotype operator for the school newspaper. 4-5 hours a day in front of typesetting machine that had a molten lead smelt pot with an auto feeding lead bar melting into it, 2 feet from my seat. Hmmmmm....????
