I'm really interested in what people are seeing for suppressor wait times lately. Did you go with a trust or a dealer transfer? Share your experiences and any tips for navigating the NFA process.

Unless things have changed significantly, suppressor ownership for civilians is illegal in California. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

No suppressors in California and with our political climate I don't think anything has changed.

In California, flash suppressors are generally restricted on semi-automatic rifles with certain features that are considered "assault weapons". Specifically, a semi-automatic rifle with a detachable magazine and a flash suppressor (or certain other features like a threaded barrel capable of accepting one) is classified as an assault weapon. However, flash suppressors can be legally used on firearms that are not classified as assault weapons, such as those with fixed magazines or those that don't have other prohibited features.

Even if the Big Beautiful Bill eliminates fees and/or registrations, suppressors, SBRs, etc, will remain banned in CA until action by SCOTUS.
