OIF Veteran here
Well, wouldn't that be farther up north, like the Rubicon? When I had a Range Rover, we'd say that the Rubicon was not for posers...And looking for a big rock to drive over.
The Rubicon is one of the reasons I love California so much. It is one of the most beautiful landscapes, but it is not for posers...I only took my Rover out a few times, I towed and drove it most of the time, and wish I had never let it go for scrap. Now, I would stick a Chevy engine in it, and be done...that would be an awesome coiler...but oh well, I gave away the D90 tires and wheels to a fellow Rover nut for free. This is is one of the very truths I learned about Rovers...mine leaked so much power steering fluid, weeds grew through the asphalt street where I parked it. But it never let me down, disappointed and got me filthy many times, but got me home...Funny, the Rubicon is pretty much a big rock. My jeep has signs all over it saying " I'm not a Poser". It has never done a crawl in the mall.
Not a bad way to see the country though.I roll to all these places and am in awe every time I'm there.. Not in the jeep, it sucks on the road, I drag it behind the motor home.
After today I'm feeling sick, but don't want to cr@p in the OP's thread...Then got a stack of Honuby Match ammo. It was like twenty-five bucks a box.
Welcome Joe.
No idea what OIF is, but others are happy about it.
I'll be in your backyard, middle of November at Slash X, raising money to keep our land open, for the people. And looking for a big rock to drive over.
