I first came across Montana Knife Company while listening to Josh Smith on the Dave Ramsey EntreLeadership podcast. He really emphasized their commitment to making high-quality knives right here in the USA. The knives look great, but I’m curious—has anyone here actually used one? I’d love to hear how they perform in practical situations.

Not familiar with them, but I do love solid, well built knives.

I just lost a Kershaw pocket w/clip Apparently that knife has been discontinued. I’m looking for a replacement as we type

They have been fine, a knife to me is a tool. So it gets used and then replaced. I do like my CRKT knives, they have lasted for me. budget wise, they can be pricey

I've heard good things about them but have never handled one myself. If I were in the market for a fixed blade I'd definitely consider one.

Have never owned one, but they are quality knives, and I wouldn't feel cheated to own a skinner.

I currently use a Benchmade Hidden Canyon for skinning, and carry a Benchmade Bugout as my EDC. I would like to make my own knife, and have most of the materials I need...just need the time...I have a small patch knife I forged from a coil spring...but have a couple Magnacut blanks to make a Loveless copy, using bronze for the bolster. My intention is to make the knife that I dress game with.

EDIT: And this is a special knife to me...it's a small clip point that my dad gave to me as a kid, I don't have very much stuff that he gave me, but I have some fishing equipment and this knife. I taught myself to sharpen on this knife...didn't know what I was doing, just kept at it until I got it so it could shave my arm...The sheath has his initials on it (BLD)...
