Shoot what 'ya brung! Plus a free breakfast...

Today on New Years day we had a "Shoot what 'ya brung" day with our club. I don't have a 22LR, but was able to use a Ruger bolt action 10/22, and I was able to hit a spinning green coin on a string, with iron sites, but it was only about 25'...The RSO had some bamboo sticks, plastic straws, and green coins. I was able to split a straw also, but this green coin got me a pick at the prizes. I got some Rem Oil. As a bonus, the President made us some biscuits and gravy for breakfast.

Haha that sounds like so much fun! We used to do similar things like tossing aspirin tablets at various distances or trying to hit candy canes hanging from strings. It’s a great way to work on the basics without it feeling like serious practice.

That was fun at the Shoot What 'Ya Brung, but the 22LR competition brought the fighting spirit in 3 of us. No breakfast though, I have to say the President has those biscuits and gravy down.
