Rifle case recos

Throwing in the back truck traveling soft is fine. But if you want to airline travel you want to go hard sided.
I had one of each for most of my life. Then my wife picked up a bunch at an auction.
I use a multi pistol case from HF for my travel Starlink. They are an affordable version of Pelican.

I think it really depends on the type of rifle also, and the style one prefers. I like these MidwayUSA cases for a bolt action. I would say it's a stiffer soft case. I completely agree, that if one is traveling on a plane, a hard case is the only way to go. The airlines are good at destroying even the best flight cases. I have never traveled on a plane with a firearm to date, so it's kind of moot for me. But I would worry about the airline losing your baggage and/or your rifle not showing up at the destination, that seems to happen more than we would expect.

The above case is not good for a gas rifle. I prefer this style.

All of our mileage varies, and one thing to keep in mind is the pics always show a couple rifles, a couple hand guns, but trust me...these things get really heavy with only 2 gassers.

for a soft case, go to Costco and get the Savior. Best bang for the buck.

Hard cases, Pelican, SKB have been great
