Folded or fixed knife?

In the world of knives, there are those who are loyal to fixed blades and those who prefer folding ones. Which do you think is more practical for various tasks or environments?

I carry both. I carry a fixed blade on my backpack, and always have a folder in my front pocket. You just never know when you may need to dress game. In a pinch, a folder will do.
