Bow hunters from NorCal

Im just going to throw this out there.... anyone here good with bow adjustments? Im feeling a bit overwhelmed and the pro shops near me are either way too expensive or have insane wait times. Can someone help a guy out? Just so you know, I’m from NorCal!

I have looked at bows, and in fact, was looking for a Fred Bear Kodiak recurve on EBay last night. I've been torn between a recurve and a compound. I saw several that didn't have the bowstring attached to them, and wasn't sure if I would need some tool to do that or not. Do you know?

What type of bow do you shoot? Are you in San Jose area? I just moved from San Jose to Lake County, there was just about a dozen wild turkeys walking mine and neighboring properties, when I was just there letting my contractor get his ladder out of my shop.

Wish I could help you out. Had to give up bow hunting 20 years ago because of bad elbows. If you can’t practice, you can’t ethically hunt.
Have been playing around with my crossbow though.
