I enjoy anything I can legally own and shoot including featureless ARs and roster handguns. Lately, I’ve been exploring long-range shooting out in the desert where I can truly feel free. I’m also active in the local range community, helping new shooters get started in the right way. I’m excited for some engaging discussions with people who value the Constitution!

Welcome to CSF!

I enjoy shooting them also, but still hoping this state will restore our 2A as it was intended.

Until then, shooting featureless ARs will be a way of life, AFAICT.

I have resorted to shooting bolt actions rifles for hunting until all of the AWB BS blows over. Please update your location when you have time so others know what they can help in your area. In the past I would shoot at Sunnyvale/Stevens-Creek-Res and it would literally cost me $50/day to shoot a featureless rifle. Now I pay $50/year in Lake County to get an RFID issued to me from Konocti Rod & Gun Club so shoot for an entire year, from sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset. This is the nicest range I've shot at, although Sunnyvale has a nice skeet setup.

Here's one of my featureless rifles, actually 2 of them, both in 8.6 Blackout, the top one has a 16" barrel and featureless stock, so can be used.

Funny thing is that I see people shooting ARs all the time at the range, 90% of them have no idea what a featureless rifle is, they mostly shoot stock ARs that are purchased from an FFL. I have never seen anyone arrested for such a violation.

The other thing that I find completely unconstitutional is how the state will not allow you to carry ammo and the firearm in the same vehicle, unless the ammo is locked up. Because of that I will get a CCW (Lake County has been pro issue for years). When I lived in the SF Bay area, getting a CCW was like pulling teeth. My old shooting partner moved to Ohio and they immediately issued him a CCW. Luckily in Lake County, they probably wouldn't give a citation for carrying ammo and a firearm in the same vehicle space, but I keep my ammo locked in an ammo box to be safe. These are both featureless, but the top one with the Thordson stock has a 16" barrel on it.

The bottom pistol has a Sparrow grip on it, it keeps the web between your thumb and 1st finger above the grip, so that this cannot be considered to be a pistol grip. The lower one is a 12" barrel, what I feel is the perfect length to use with 8.6 blackout. I have 308 and 6.5 Creedmoor uppers, so can assemble a legal featureless AR rifle, if I was forced to.
