Strange change at MidwayUSA...I'm sure others as well...

I have noticed that MidwayUSA now requires that I upload my DL when making an order for anything gun related.

Today I was asked again when ordering a gun case for the 10/22, 3 rotary mags for the 10/22, and a mag loader for the 10/22. I have uploaded it twice now, and it seems they're gonna ask me every time I order. I'm sure vendors will follow suit with this egregious activity...everybody wants to get into the act...

I WASN'T charged an extra 11%, though.

Same thing with Brownells they also want a DL. This must have to do with AB1263. It bothers me. Newsom took another one on the chin yesterday, Rhode vs Bonta, ammo background checks. Bonta will just continue to write legislation that will make it legal for them to charge extra and perform background checks...but that day is going to end, IMO.

I agree, but we're eroding at that massive mountain, one pick as a time.

The 9th circus has only ruled in favor of the 2A, one single time, since 1850, when CA was formed as a state. I firmly believe that a class action lawsuit is waiting for the counties and state, since all streams, creeks, dams, ponds, wells, et al, are governed under Riparian Rights, and you can't charge someone tax, legally, on something you don't own. Yes, wells are governed under Riparian Rights, AFAIK. That's critical as water is something that we will die quickly if we don't get.

I was mistaken about the DL, I uploaded a bad one that had my old address on it, initially, and they didn't accept that one, but this new one they did.

It seems like the 9th is starting to admit defeat, and Newsom/Bonta have to be feeling these blows to the chin...That video is concerning on what could happen to us over the next year. I don't think we're gonna get too much love...unless Trump tosses some our way?

EDIT: From Will is saying in that Video, we're gonna need to sign for everything related to firearms. That makes sense as both Midway and Brownells won't ship to my P.O. anymore. Amazon is very limited with any gun related parts.

No, it seems that MIdway does require it each time. I definitely had my current DL uploaded, but had to upload another one just now to buy some 10/22 mags and a mag loader. They would send a cleaning rod to a p.o. box, if that's any consolation.

To elaborate on this, it seems that after January 1st, the vendor needs to have your DL on file, and the address needs to match where it ships. That's what Midway implies, but I'm trying to find out more.

I was able to order 3 x 10 round Ruger mags, and a Ruger 10/22 bolt buffer pin. I'm upgrading to a pliable pin to quiet the cycling of the bolt.

With the 3 mags I'll have 4 x 10 = 40, perfect for a silhouette competition. The 1/5th size competition is harder as it's at 100 yards, but the regular size targets at 200 yards is way yonder when you're looking at the target. I could hit steel at 100 yards, but it's a big plate. A regular size chicken is about the same size as a cell phone I'm told.

I probably can't buy metal chickens...

I thought we were guaranteed to get mail if we have a valid address. That sucks...I do get delivery, but having my driver's license with my P.O. box doesn't cut it, as most of the vendors won't ship to me.

I ordered a 3-pack of Ruger 10/22 10 round mags last night on Ebay. I also ordered the bolt buffers, they had a 3-pack for $12.99.

Let me know if you'd like one of those, I can send to your Mailbox Etc, nobody stopping me from doing that. I only need one of those. FYI, the original is a metallic pin, so it makes more noise as it cycles. I'll let you know how noticeable it is when I get them and try one out.
