What's your go-to carry revolver and what makes it your top choice? I'm eager to hear from fellow daily wheelgun carriers about their experiences and what truly performs well in real-life situations.

Well, the one I prefer most.

Yeah, I really love those S&W J-frames. They just feel right in my hand and offer a good combination of fire power and portability for self defense.

I have a nickel Model 36 2" from around 1982, a no-lock 662, and got a no-lock 442 for my daughter.

I had an immaculate blued Model 36 that was made in 1962 (photos below), but just sold it to another member of the S&W Forum to raise some funds for the dog rescue we run, and because it was just too perfect and beautiful to carry.

Where weight and size aren't quite as much of a concern, a beautiful .357 nickel S&W Model 19-2 with 2 1/2 inch barrel likes to go with me.

I like the 642 with Remington Golden Sabers +P. It has a laser sight and an Apex trigger kit. I bought it used for a very fair price from a former CIA pilot. I also have a 640-1 that was expensive. I favor a revolver because it is simple to operate and very reliable.

Love the Mdl 19, but the grip is too small for me to get a firm hand on it. I have 3 Mdl 66's, and the grip feels real good to me.
