It's Freedom Week 2.0, or is it 3.0?

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals had upheld Judge Benitez's unconstitutional ruling of California's Ammo regime, and issued permanent injunction on this process. This includes the backround check, out of state purchase, and FFL required involvement. Some Out-of-State vendors are already shipping direct to residents. CA DOJ will likely appeal for an en-banc review AGAIN, and request a stay pending appeal.

Smoke 'em while you got 'em!

True. Some vendors are even offering a further discounts for CA buyers (Freedom Munitions is one). So grab 'em while you can. No telling how long it will last.

No, the tax is still in place. Apparently, some vendors (those who do not operate in CA) don't collect sales tax so they don't collect the excise tax either.

I'm wondering if they will also dismiss that dumb ammo tax, since it is all unconstitutional?

So do I get my money back for all the ammo background checks I had to do? I doubt it. When the law first went through, each time I bought a different type of ammo, I had to pay the background check fee for each one at Bass Pro. I had just bought a Henry in 45-70 and bought four different brands of ammo to see which I liked best at the range, each one cost a $1 for the background check!

I'm still fully stocked with cases of most ammo sizes, so I hadn't had to purchase after this silly law had passed. I was told you were limited to quantity per order, and each size were under a different ffl?

I've ordered multiple calibers and many thousands of rounds per order. Never paid more than the single check fee, but paid the FFL $15 for the first 1K rnds, then $5per K after that. for receiving and handling. That was for delivery of Out-of-state shipments. I never bought in-state...prices are too high.

You bought the ammo for the Henry all at the same time, right? If not, then yes the ammo fee is charged each time. If all at the same time, $1 regardless of quantity or brands.
It was all at the same time so I had to pay $4 for four different brands, and later at other shops I found out it should have only been $1 for all the different boxes.
