I like Pho, my kids were weened on it. Pho was really popular down in the bubble (what I call Cupertino area). All the kids eat Pho and they drink that tapioca tea, they will be lined up out the buildings to buy that bubble tea. My daughter loves that stuff.
That said, my uncle (R.I.P.) was married to a Filipino woman and my wife learned how to cook Adobo from her, that would be good with leftovers. They were divorced, but he raised her son, who was like a son to my Uncle. I used to be friends with a couple Filipino Families in San Diego, most of their wives of them and friends were nurses. They seemed to be cornering the market on that.
In Milpitas there's a place called Max's of Manilla, and they deep fry chicken, it's good. They also deep fry beef ribs. Do they fry turkeys like that in Manilla? That said, I am not a fan of that Banana Ketchup...something odd about it.
So far, I'm just going turkey sandos, on my homemade bread.
