Where do you get your 9mm practice ammunition and at what price?

28 cents per round I think is the best I have seen in a while.

I reload but I am asking for a friend.

I purchased around 40k rounds at 18 cents a piece. I'm trying to make this last, so im rationing now.

What is the price today?

Remember when PMC 9mm was in the camouflage box at 9 cents a round? Those cases are long gone and two worn out Berettas too.

Lot's of places online but has to be shipped to an ammo vendor. They will likely charge a fee, plus background check (have to do this anyway).

You can browse on ammoseek.com. You can filter on brand, weight and sort by price/shipping etc. Then check with your local dealer about fees to see if it makes sense.

The local shops around me all run about the same like Blazer Brass 115gr about 26-28 cents/round.

I have a Turners near me as well as Big 5, LAXAMMO and a few FFLs. Ammo prices have fluctuated pretty wildly over the past years (even before Covid). Before the background check went into effect, I was getting "name brand" 9mm 124g FMJ around 18cents/round. Even my local Walmarts sold ammo.

I can't figure out LAX ammo. Their in-store prices are not competitive- right now Turners has better prices. However, LAX on-line is fairly competitive but won't ship inside CA. The in-store people say they have no control over on-line sales or pricing and mention some law as to why they can't even ship to a CA FFL. I used to buy from Freedom Munitions based in Idaho but LAX bought them so now they're out. Just don't get it.

I found the best prices usually at sportsman warehouse but sometimes big 5 can surprise you when there is a sale going on

Freedom Munitions, SGAmmo were my primary online vendors. FM in particular when they had free shipping.

I suppose the "No California" policy is due to the background check that requires all ammo sales go through a licensed ammo vendor. Just like the shipping FFLs need to verify the FFL of the receiving one, so ammo vendors need to do the same. Guess LAX/FM doesn't want to deal with it. Lot's of FFLs won't ship guns to CA for similar reasons.

I really miss I think lasted a couple weeks last I think where you could have it shipped to your house sweet I was smart ordered up big with true shot they had to shipped it I made the deadline. Now that was fun

Outdoor Limited is where I buy. $200 in orders get you free shipping to your FFL
