I was reading a thread from S & W forum, they were chatting about 03 FFL. 30 bucks for a license, and you can buy most 50-year-old or older guns. I am into High Standard pistols at this time, and most are 1975 or older, making them, like me, a relic..
So this could be good, some of the vendors on Gunbroker give deals to those with a 03 FFL, I'm told. My big question is, does it work to purchase ammo?
I shoot one or two times a week... usually 22 LR. They are too tricky for me to reload. So, I have to buy em. AmmoSkeek and others have better deals than my LGS.
https://www.atf.gov/file/61506/download Lots of options to send/spend money. Other than the 03 option, the rest don't make sense.
Is a 03 ffl feasible in our Socialist State?

That's right...the F*** You, me and everyone else tax.
I'm gonna stock up on bullets before the 1st of January. I'll watch for a sale at McGuire Ballistics. I have enough powder for all of my cartridges, but could use some bullets...🤔

This is a good time just before black Friday, and just before the 1st of the year...

I'm gonna file for this. This form is kind of like a 4473 (DROS) on steroids.

Did you file yours yet? Do you know how long it takes? Is this like a multi-month journey?

Do you know by doing this, does this open your residence to the ATF to inspect and shoot your dog? I don't have a dog yet, but that could be a concern...I'm planning to get a dog, but not until I have my own house...hmmm... 🤔 I guess I'm wondering as I plan to reload most of my ammo, and giving the Government as little information as possible makes sense, but that would be convenient to be able to ship ammo to my home...🤔

an FFL of any kind not only gets you on ATF radar, as if any CA gun owner isn't already, it puts you on the scrutinize list(likely). I thought about an 03, but I'm not a collector of rare and antique guns, so I would be buying ammo for modern firearms mostly. This makes think I would be scrutinized even more. And YES I believe you give up your right to warrantless search and seizure for the license...IIRC.

I'm not really a collector either, and I plan to reload for the foreseeable future, so not sure it make sense to get on the scrutinize list. My guess is they would be disappointed to see how much I actually have, because I'm certain there are many, many people that have way more. I'm certain I'm on their list...because I have DROS'd.
