What a year it’s been for deer hunting! I finally got my first buck, and I can’t wait to share the story. How did your season go?

Congrats on your first buck! I had a pretty good season myself. I managed to get a nice 8-pointer early on and I spent a lot of my time helping a buddy track his deer. There's just something special about being out in the woods, even when the freezer’s already full.

Ok, I guess it's time to pony up with my horrible story. I have an A zone tag that I can't use, as the season is gone already. I just am too busy trying to get my life together and move everything to Lake County. Dear season ended last week. Luckily, I have a bear tag (can't use in A zone, but can move to other zones in CA that have active deer open, the bear tags are good in the entire state. I also have a pig tag, they're unlimited harvest, but you need to report each one before harvesting another. As such, I have no deer to show you...
