What about your family? Do you have any unique Thanksgiving traditions? Ours, once we finish eating and have dessert, we draw names for our Secret Santa. If we opt for the fake Christmas tree that year, the family members who aren’t in the kitchen will take the whole day to set it up and decorate it :ROFLMAO:

I was invited over to a friend's house, him and his SO are doing TG on Wednesday. Not sure about Thursday, I have no family to speak of anymore... :( (other than you guys)

I think they're doing it on Wed. as my friend's mom does it on Thursday for their family.

Lots of hunters gonna be at the Wed. dinner! Maybe even get some black bear chili...

Great to hear you’ve found a spot for Wednesday. Friends can sometimes turn out to be the family we choose, and there’s something really nice about being welcomed into someone’s Thanksgiving celebration. I myself had a couple of years where my plans were a bit lacking, and those invitations really meant the world to me.

We're at son in laws house now. He is a CHP, where all hands are required to be present tomorrow, so tonight we are celebrating with family and friends. Happy pre-Turkey Day, everyone!

Was really nice to get together with a real family, and we played some dice after which I got beat bad.

I took a loaf of bread, the only type I know how to make...LOL The 3 women were impressed with my bread. I didn't mean to show them up, but they were cooking mostly processed food, which my wife pretty much frowns on, but I ate it all the same. Good turkey and ham! My friend sent me a text this morning, he didn't try the bread yesterday, but raved about how good it was today! All in all, I think it was a good night to share with friends...and I'm cooking a loaf of bread for myself right now, just put it in the oven.😋

Processed food or not, you came, you enjoyed the meal, and you didn’t make it awkward. That's what matters.

All you really need is some good turkey, good ham, and great people around you. I hope that loaf in your oven comes out just as delicious, because it looks like you’ve got some real talent in the kitchen!

Well, I had a turkey that I'm cooking today for myself. Just gonna slice it all up in to sandwich meat.

I cut all the meat up and got 2 large tuppers filled with scramble and sandwich meat. I have a full ziploc I put all of the sliced breast in and put it in the freezer. I have almost a full loaf of bread to make sandwiches or I have about 3-1/2 dozen eggs to make scrambles, plenty of butter...

Pair that with a beer!
