I've come to really like the 13". It just handles so much better for me. You lose a bit of velocity, and the blast is more pronounced, but the trade-off is worth it for how I shoot.
FWIW, SIG presented an M7 to the military with a 10.5" barrel. If you go shorter than 16", you should go to 10.5". That was a stable barrel in the 5.56, and I have one from DSG that I took off the upper to use for a 300 blackout.
I've never shot the 277 Fury, and would like to, but Federal peak'd my interest in the 7bc when they mentioned the case doesn't stretch. I originally thought the hybrid case of the Fury would be safer for reloading, but if the case doesn't stretch, I see that as a huge plus.
