I'll have to try some of that...when I was just out of high school, me and a good friend went on a surfing safari up to Oregon, and when we were at Gold's Beach, where the Rogue river enters the pacific, there was a guy yanking out 25-30 lb. salmon like clockwork. He gave us one to eat. There were a lot of salmon jerky places along the coast, On that same trip, we stopped by Shelter Cove on the way back, that's a part of the lost coast. There used to be a ship sunk on the rocks, but it's since been taken away...it's a twisty road getting to the cove...years later my friend's mom and sister bought a beach house at the cove...salmon is good stuff, only about 500 calories a lb, so good diet food.
